The Power of Connection

One of our little Braveheart’s as we like to call them, lost his Dad in a motor vehicle accident before he was one year old. The loss of a parent is hard to comprehend when you’re just a kid. Big feelings are hard to process.

Our beautiful counsellor, Laurissa, was reminded this week of the power of connection.

In Laurissa’s words and with permission from our little Braveheart’s Mum we’d love to share just how beautiful this little boys session was this week.

” A transforming therapeutic technique is to combine nature, spontaneity, a sense of security and joy.

Tarryn, I was so humbled to provide one of our littlest Heart Hub clients with this during the week.

We took the therapy dogs and ourselves for an adventure down to the beach….we had it all to ourselves and it was idealistic. I love that he felt so safe with me and the dogs, so much so, that he decided to jump in! School uniform, hat and all

Pure joy and connection….a great way to handle big feelings!

He chatted all the way home.
