Bridgetown’s Mystery Tour of Life

Another year, another opportunity to be a guest speaker at this truly incredible initiative.
I say it every year, and I’ll continue to say it – I cannot commend this program, or the incredible Bridgetown volunteers who make it possible, highly enough.
For 23 years, this life-changing program has been shaping the lives of young drivers, educating them and showing them the devastating reality of road trauma. It’s raw, it’s confronting, but it’s necessary. This is the harsh reality we face as our road toll continues to rise, and it’s one that too many families, including mine, have been forced to live.
As someone who has experienced firsthand the heartbreak and lifelong impact of losing a child on the road, I know just how crucial this education is.
Thank you to everyone involved in making the day the success it is – Glen Norris, Bridgetown Road Wise, SC Mike Smith, SC Ben Ducker, Sergeant Dave White, 1/C Dylan Jones, Chris Mott, St John Ambulance, Bridgetown Fire and Rescue, DFES, FESA, Archer and Sons, the CWA ladies, Tony Pratico, Bridgetown Hospital, Michelle Hanrahan, the medical staff and students, and the actors from the real-life crash scene.
Special mention to fellow guest speaker, Stu. It takes courage to share our journey of road trauma but together we save lives, one story at a time. All my love, always.
